Item Determinants of Autism Spectrum Disorder Among Children In Center Of Autism – Khartoum Locality - Sudan Thesis Submitted To Fulfill Partial Requirement For M.sc In Pediatric Nursing.(AL Neelain University, 2015) Rabab Omer Mohammed SalihAbstract: Autism is a neurological disorder characterized by qualitative impairments in social interaction, qualitative impairments in communication, and restricted repetitive, stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests, and activities. Autistic Spectrum Disorders are relatively common without known etiology can be found in 80-90% of cases. aim to identified determinants of autism spectrum disorder among children. Design descriptive research design; it was conducted in all autism centers at Khartoum locality which includes12centers ,10centers refuses to participate in this study,2 center agree to participate in this study. and included 30 mothers who agree to participate in this study. The study included a structured interview questionnaire; this questionnaire divided into two parts demographic characteristics, and mother knowledge about risk factors of Autism. Result present study clear that all mother of autism all mother of autistic child on regular visit during pregnancy (100%).most mother of autistic Chile on regular visit ring pregnancy(100%).most mother of autistic suffer from disease during pregnancy 40%. male represent a higher prevalence (83%) rate of autism than females(17%). Majorities of autistic Child full vaccine dose most mother of autistic child suffer from diseases during pregnancy ,most whose study population were normal delivery, most study population fully vaccination , most of study population were positive family history. Conclusion All mother of autistic child on regular antenatal visits. Recommendation To establish governmental center for autistic for diagnosis, assessment and proper management.Item Mother knowledge toward Poisoning Among Children Under Five Years at home Abuseed_ Omdurman locality(AL Neelain University, 2015) Esra Maaly AdamAbstract Recently poisoning at home became one of the common prevailing problems in Sudan. Mothers in the home are more contact to children; they have to be aware about the poisoning, sign of poisoning and the methods to prevent the child. This descriptive cross sectional community base study design. Current study aim to assess mother knowledge towards poisoning among children under five years at home. The study involved 100 mothers who selected by simple random sampling. The data collected by questionnaire consisting of parts: The f irst part : was designed to assess the socio demographic data of participants included four questions from (1-4) The second part : was developed to collect data about the participants about definition of poisoning, occurrence of poisoning pre house and type of poisoning(5-7).The third part: was designed to collect data the knowledge of mother about the sign and symptoms, immediate intervention and prevention of (food poisoning, medication poisoning, and chemical poisoning) and complication (8-19) analyzed by statistical package of social science version 16 and presented by table and figures. The most important results they not significant statistical relation between the age and knowledge of mother about immediate intervention of food poisoning significant statistical relation between the level of education and sign of food poisoning significant statistical relation between the level of education and complication of poisoning. Concluded that showed good knowledge of study population regarding sign and symptoms and complication and poor knowledge regarding immediate intervention and prevention.
