Item Allgeneic Platelets Lysatefor Umbilical Cord Stem Cellscultivation(Alneelain university -Graduate College, 2017-12) Gamila Ali Atta Elmanan, Hiba Badreldin KhalilMesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are non-hematopoietic multipotent cells able to self-renewal and to differentiate into several mesenchymal lineages.ln recent years, there seems to be an unbolfided interest conceming lllSCs, this is mainly attributed to their exciting characteristics including long-term er Vim proliferation, multiline age potentiality and immunomodulatory properties. ln this regard, lllSCs emerge as attractive candidates for various therapeutic applications especially for the treatment of a range of diseases that are not curable by current therapies. ll'lSCs were originally isolated from the bone marrow (BM) and this population is still considered as the gold standard for MSC. applications. Nevertheless, the Blll has several limitations as source of ll'lSCs, including MSC low frequency in this compartment, the painful isolation procedure and the decline in MSC characteristics with donor's age. Thus, there is accumulating interest in identifying altemative sources for lllSCs. More than 44 archaeological sites were recorded, dated from the prehistoric period to the tlthman colonization, between lllilaga to Zahana in the end of the lake in sslnn length. Some archaeological sites have been chosen for excavation, as a settlement dated to the Neolithic period. This is a cross sectional prospective study aimed to explore the molecular characterization and the early genetic mutations within different stages of the precancerous and malignant lesions of the colon and rectum, investigating the somatic and the gemi line mutations of the APC gene. 131 Fresh endoscopic tissue biopsies were collected besides blood samples from patients suspected with genetic inherited mutations from the main endoscopic centers in Sudan- Khartoum state during February 2013 to June 2014. DNA was extracted from tissue and blood samples. Moreover, the APC gene was sequenced for the amplified product targeted the region from codon 1260-1358 within the mutation cluster region. (lne hundred and six participants were diagnosed endoscopically with colorectal lesions, 44 (41.5%) showed inflammatory mucosa, 40 (37.7 %) showed tumor and 22 (20.7%) had polyps. For further investigation, 25 endoscopic tissue samples were collected from healthy participants for comparison. In the whole group of patients, the mean age was 45.7 years, 34.2% of tumor patients were less than 50 years old, and 46.8% of the lesions were in the rectum. The highest frequency of tumor patients group was from westem tribes and the lesions were located commonly in the rectum. The total numbers of SNPs detected in the AFC gene was39, 35 of them were novel newly detected mutations. lt also shows a significant statistical relation among the tumor and polypoid lesions group with P. value: 0.01 (OR: 9.3, Cl 95%: 1.16 - 82.2) and 0.03 (OR: 10, Cl 9s%:1.0- 9s.s,) respectively. The researchers concluded that the rectum is the most common site of cancer within the Sudanese population than other parts of the colon. The purpose of the study is to investigate and evaluate the groundwater in the Tendelti drainage basin. The geological units Rocks in the study area are; the basement -— complex, sedimentary it's about 1000 lfm length and covers an area of approximately 6000 Km’ includes: Nubian sandstone, llmm lluwaba Formations and superficial deposits (clayey plains and sand dunes). For remote sensing studies the Land - sat Thematic Mapper (Tlll) is used to hydrogeological map preparations. lt is evident that these integrated study techniques are useful reconnaissance method for water resources studies. The hydrogeological setting can he identified by two aquifer types: The shallow aquifer, include the upper llmm Ruwaba aquifer, Wadies, and sand dunes aquifers. This group is considered as perched water. The depth to the water level ranges between 2 meters to 30 meters from the surface land. The other group — is the Deep Umm Ruwaba aquifer which is the main aquifer in the area The water table of deep aquifer ranges from 71 meters to 87 meters from the subsurface land. The chemical analysis of water samples was performed to determine the suitability of groundwater for human consumption and agricultural purposes according to (WHO) standards. According to The total Dissolved Solid (TDS) values which are determined by chemical analysis (Titration), water resources can be classified in to two types.
