| dc.description.abstract | This paper intends to design and implement a device that can read the human pulse rate from a fingertip and also display pulse rate in the unit of beats per minute (BPM) will be displayed on a 16 by 2 LCD display. This device should benefit our life in the way that people can conveniently measure their pulse rate our monitor the patient’s heart rate for dedicated doctors. We also included an alarm mechanism to allow patient supervisor to be notified if heart rates goes lower or higher that the specific thresholds by using GPS module for getting the location of the patient and a GSM module to send SMS that includes the warning message and the location information. | en_US |
