المُسْتَوْدَعُ الرَّقْمِيّ لِلْهَيْئَةِ العَامَّةِ لِمَرْكَزِ الأَبْحَاثِ الجِيولوجيَّة ( دِرَاسَةٌ تَقْيِيمِيَّةٌ)

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بواقع المستودع الرقمي بالهيئة العامة لمركز الأبحاث الجيولوجية بوزارة المعادن بالعاصمة الخرطوم، من حيث البناء والمحتويات والتقنيات والأدوات والسياسات المتبعة سواءً في الإيداع أو الاسترجاع أو الإتاحة. وقد وظف الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي،واستخدام قائمة مراجعة check list لإجراء مقابلات مع المسؤولين والمستفيدين من خدمات المستودع. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى إن المستودع الرقمي موضع الدراسة قد إعتمد على برنامج محلي تم تصميمه بالاعتماد على (MS Visual Fox Pro) وأطلق علية نظام "النافكيشن" NAVIGATIONلإدارة وتنظيم المستودع الرقمي؛ بغرض تغزيز الوصول للمعلومات بحيث يتمكن المستفيدون من بحث الوثائق الممسوحة وتصفحها بسهولة في قاعدة البيانات عبر جهاز السيرفر والشبكة المحلية، مع إمكانية الحصول على نسخة ورقية من تلك الوثائق في نفس الوقت، وذلك نتيجة لربط النظامين الورقي والإلكترونيبما يلبي حاجات المستفيدين. ويوصي الباحثان بأهمية وضع سياسة واضحة للمستودع الرقمي من حيث الايداع والحفظ والاتاحة وتخصيص إدارة مستقلة له تعمل على تحسينة وتطوير خدماته.

Abstract This study aims to introduce the status of the digital repository at the General Authority of the Geological Research Center at the Ministry of Minerals in the capital, Khartoum in terms of construction, contents, techniques, tools, and policies used, whether in deposit, retrieval, or availability. The researchers employed the descriptive analytical method and used a checklist to conduct interviews with officials and users of repository services. The study found that the digital repository in question has relied on Closed Programs” Ms Visual Fox Pro” call it a system “NAVIGATION” to manage and organize the digital repository with the aim of enhancing access to information so that users can easily search the avaiable documents in their database through of the server and the local network, with the possibility of obtaining a paper copy of these documents at the same time as a result of linking the paper and electronic systems to meet the needs of the users. The researchers recommend the importance of formulating a clear policy for the digital repository in terms of depositing, storing and making available and allocating an independent department for it that works to improve it and develop its services.
