    abstract The "American hegemony Threatens: Horn of Africa. Casestudy staudy is "'a' research title contesting for PH.D. Degree, in 'AlNeelain University, Graduate College Political Science department. The above mentioned research divided for three chapters, chapter one addresses the term hegemony from a theoretical point of view, defining the term hegemony ,to Construct the research on a unified platform, this chapter furthermore studied in details some cases of a historical international hegemony, to identify the symmetrical of the rises and the fall of the world super powers, assuming that it may give a sense weather the new intemational order is an American hegemony or other wise, bear in mind that the proposal plan of this research already assumed that the intemational new orders in context is nothing rather than American total hegemony, specifically since the claps of the USSR. In l ‘ll ~ ,also to explore the vanish common factors of the great empires across the hegemony history, believing that an outcome results will make an enlightenments to predict possibly the future of the outstanding American hegemony, in accordance with what has been suggested in the research methodology ,with reference to the proposal plan. The second chapter adopted the historical methodology as suggested in the proposal plan ,so this chapter observed closely the great process and developments that had qualified the USA to appear in the twenty first country as a uni-polar and the only world super-power. This chapter also numerated and explained the American hegemony elements to prove the American hegemony as one of the research major assumption ,it also closing with a comparative tendency between chapter one results abstracted from the fall causes of the great empires against the American hegemony threatens, trying to assess how much the threatening elements will affect the American hegemony comparing with ancient empires collapse reasons already mentioned in the first chapter, applying the historical methodology as proposed in the research proposal plan. The last chapter allotted to study the American hegemony on the horn of Africa, this chapter mainly to clarify American hegemony tools, and how it conduct its policy and influence across different world region’s to maintain “the so-called” American vital interest, with total consideration to research methodology application as has been numerated in the proposal plan.
