Item أثر تطبيق اسلوب إدارة الجودة الشاملة في تطوير اداء مديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في محافظة الكرك من وجهة نظر المعلمين(جامعة النيلين, 2007) إبراهيم على شريعة العمروAbstract \ v<._ The aim of this research is to know the effect of applying the total quality management method in developing the performance of principals at govemment secondary schools in Karak govemorate according to teachers’ viewpoint. To achieve the goals of this study, a research instrument (questionnaire) was designed and developed. It consisted of (41 ) items designed to measure the method's effect on study sample which was randomly chosen. The data was collected and distributed to the sample which consisted of (270) female and male teachers. It represented( 10%) of the study population. The study also used the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) in analyzing the data ,and used statistical methods to calculate the means and standard deviations. The most important findings of the study were: 1. The effect of applying total quality management method in govemment secondary schools in Karak was strong in all aspects (organization, planning, communication, human relations and evaluation). 2. There were no statistical differences in the effect of applying total quality management method in developing the performance of principals at govemment secondary schools in Karak govemorate according to teachers‘ viewpoint, at the level of (a= 0.05) which was attributed to the following variables: a. sex b. academic qualification and c. teaching (sen/ice) period 3. There were no statistical differences in the effect of applying total quality management method in developing the performance of principals at govemment secondary schools in Karak governorate according to teachers‘ viewpoint, at the level of (a= 0.05) which was attributed to the interaction between the following variables: a. academic qualification and teaching period b. sex and teaching period and c. sex, academic qualification and teaching period. But there were statistical differences at the level (a=0.05) as a result of the interaction between the academic qualification variable with sex variable. It was (0.031) in favour of male teachers who have academic qualifications of (bachelor + diploma and higher) and in favour of women with academic qualification ( community college and bachelor). In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the following: 1. Providing school administrations with material and moral capabilities and motivating workers to adopt the total quality management method. 2. Emphasizing the use of total quality management method in i all schools especially those in isolated areas and showing interest in workers’ qualified performance when evaluated. 3. Prioritizing the needs in light of costs and the availability of materials.
