Item THE USE OF TP53 EXPRESSION AS IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY BIOMARKER IN SUDANESE PATIENT DIAGNOSED WITH ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE BREAST(Al-Neelain University, 2019) Rihab Mohammed AhmadIntroduction: P53 mutation is associated with more aggressive disease and worse overall survival. Expression of P53 in breast cancer is however lower than other cancers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expression of P53 in adenocarcinoma of the breast and its possible correlation with the cancer degree. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective case control study which included 40 adenocarcinoma and 40 fibro adenoma paraffin waxed tissue blocks. The expression of P53 was detected using immino histochemistry technique The use of tissue microarray in combination with immunohistochemistry has been preferred method to study biomarkers. A hollow needle is used to remove tissue cores as small as 0,6 mm, these cores inserted in paraffin block .Sections were cut using microtome.Immunohistochemistry combined with tissue microarrays has been also used with success in large scale efforts to create a map of protein expression on a more global scale.
