| dc.description.abstract | Abstract This study was carried out during 2005-2008 to investigate the effects of Khartoum tannery, Sennar Sugar factory discharges and solutions prepared from their contents on the Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus مستخلص الدراسة أجريت الدراسة في الفترة ) 2005 - 2008 م( لمعرفة تتأثير ميتاه الصرف الخارجة من مدبغة الخرطتتوم، مصتتنع ستتكر ستتنار والمحاليتتل الصططناعية التي تم تكوينهتتا وفتتق التتتراكيز التتتي تتم التوصطتتل لهتتا متتن تحليل تلك المياه علي أسماك البلطي النيلي ) Oreochromis niloticus ( مقارنة مع المجموعة الضابطة وقد خففت تلك المياه بتراكيز مختلفتتة. تمت الدراسة باجراء تجارب تشمل خصائص الدم والختبار التشخيصي للنسجة كما تم أيضا دراسة التأثير علي خصائص الماء مثتتل الموصطتتلية الكهربية، الس الهيدروجيني للماء ودرجة حرارة الماء. دلت النتائج أنه ليس هنالك تأثير بالنسبة لدرجات الحرارة حيث أنها تنحصتر فتي المتدي الطتبيعي للستماك. كمتا نجتد فترق معنتوي ) P<0.05 ( في قيم الموصطلية الكهربية والس الهيدروجيني للماء مما يدل علي تأثيرهما. أبتتدت التتتراكيز المميتتتة للميتتاه بعتتض التغيتترات الستتلوكية ) Behavioural ( مثتتل الحركتتة الستتريعة غيتتر المنتظمتتة، ازديتتاد معتتدل التنفتتس وافتتراغ للمعتتاء. والشتتكلية ) Morphological ( والتشتتريحية ) Anatomical ( زيادة افراز مادة مخاطية، تغيتتر لتتون الجلتتد ونزيتتف متتن الخيشوم والحشاء وسقوط الحراشف عن الجلد. أوضحت النتائج أن جرعات مياه صطرف مصنع سكر ستتنار كتتانت أكثر سمية اذ ان الجرعتتة القاتلتتة لنصتتف العتتدد متتن الستتماك ) LC50 ( المتعرضة بعد مضي نصف ساعة من التعرض هو التتتركيز % 17.532 بينما كانت نصف الجرعة القاتلة لنصف العدد متن الستماك المتعرضتة لجرعات مياه مجري الخليط بالمدبغة هو % 29.529 . بالنستتبة لقياستتات خصتتائص التتدم فتتي الستتماك التتتي تمتتت معالجتها بتلك المخلفات بتتالتراكيز المختلفتتة وجتتد أن هنالتتك نقصتتا ذا دللة معنوية) P<0.05 (في تركيز الهيموغلوبين ، كريتات التدم الحمتراء وحجم الخليا ) PCV ( مقارنة مع المجموعة الضابطة . بينما كان ارتفاع عدد كريات الدم البيضاء ملحوظا الستتماك المعالجتتة بجرعتتات صطتترف الخليتتط بالمدبغتتة وستتجلت نفتتس النتائتتج فتتي الستتماك المتعرضتتة لجرعات صطرف مصنع سكر سنار. بالنستتبة للتغيتترات النستتيجية نجتتدها فتتي القطاعتتات العرضتتية للخيشوم تمثلت في احداث نزيف وتاكل في الخليتا الطلئيتة للصتتفائح الخيشومية الثانوية وزيادة في عدد خليا الصفائح الخيشومية الثانويتتة ) hyperplasia ( والتصاقها وزيادة سمك الصتتفائح الوليتة ) thickening of primary lamellae epithelium ( وكانت التتتاثيرات أكتتبر فتتي الستتماك المتعرضة لجرعات صطرف الكبريتات وخليط المحاليل المصنعة وصطرف مصنع السكر. أما التغيرات في المعتتدة فتتي القطاعتات العرضتتية فهتتي اختفتتاء للثنيات المعدية ) gastric pits ( وتاكل خليا الغدد الهاضتتمة فتتي الطبقتتة المخاطية وذلك في كل السماك المتعرضتتة لجرعتات صطترف كتتل متتن المدبغة، مصنع سكر سنار. نجد أن هذا التاكل في الطبقة المخاطية قد ظهتتر أيضتتا فتتي الستتماك المتعرضتتة لجرعتتات متتن خليتتط المحاليتتل المصنعة. أظهرت القطاعتتات العرضتتية للمعتتاء فتتي الستتماك التتتي تمتتت معالجته بمياه الصرف من المدبغة والمحاليل المصتتنعة تراكتتم لخليتتا ) mast cells ( )ماعدا السماك المعالجة بجرعات مياه مجري المصتتنع(. وكانت امعاء السماك المعالجة بجرعات صطرف الكبريتات اكثر تاثيرا. القطاعات العرضية لكبد السماك المعالجة بمياه صطرف المدبغة والمحاليل المصنعة ومصنع السكر أظهرت نزيف، تاكل وتفجي للخليتتا الكبدية. في كلية السماك المتعرضة لجرعات مجري المدبغة والمصتتنع ظهر تاكل و تفجي فتتي ستتيتوبلزم خليتتا انيبيبتتات الكليتتة. بينمتتا حتتدث انتفاخ في محفظة بومان ) Bowman capsule ( في الستتماك المعالجتتة بجرعات مجري الكروم وخليط المحاليل الصططناعية. نخلص من ذلك أن مقدار التأثير يتناسب طرديا متتع تركيتتز تلتتك المخلفات أيضا التراكيز البسيطة كان لها تأثير. نجد أن كل تلك المخلفات لها تأثير علي السماك مما يدلل علتتي أنها تؤثر علي البيئة المائية وبالتتتالي علتتي النستتان متتن خلل تراكمهتتا في السلسلة الغذائية له ) Food Cha (trewavas,1983). The discharges were diluted to different concentrations. The study includes the effect of discharges on water characteristics, on blood of treated fish and histopathological effects of organs and tissues. The results showed no significant effect in the water temperature. While there were significant changes in electronic conductivity and pH values of treated water . The fishes exposed to discharges showed behavioural response such as erratic and fast swimming with rapid defaecation. Morphological effects were haemorrhages from the gills, heavy secretion of mucus covering the whole skin, fall off scale and fading out of skin colour were observed. The result also showed higher mortality in fishes exposed to sugar factory discharge where LC50 was 17.532% than the fishes exposed to final discharge of tannery where the LC50 was 29.529% after half hour exposure time (Et). Examinations of blood showed very significant difference (P<0.05) it is lower directly proportional to the higher discharge concentration between the haemoglobin concentrations, packed cell volume (PCV) and red blood cell. And there was fluctuation in the number of white blood cell counts in the fishes treated by final discharges compared to control. Fishes treated by Sennar Sugar Factory recorded significant reductions in the haemoglobin concentrations and packed cell volume and significant increase in white blood cell count. But there was no significant differences between the red blood cell count when compared to control. Histopathological effects occurred in all fish tissues treated with all different concentrations of the discharges from tannery and sugar cane factory. The gills of fishes exposed to different discharges and artificial solutions showed several lesions which were hyperplasia of chloride cells, pillar cells and mucous cells at the base of the gill filament and secondary lamellae, telangietasis at the tip of the secondary lamellae, thickening of epithelial primary lamellae as well as haemorrhages and infiltration of leukocytes. But the gills of exposed fishes by sulphate discharge, mixture of artificial solutions and sugar factory discharge were more effected. The effects on stomach were disappearance of gastric pits and necrosis of gastric glands of fishes exposed to both discharges of Tannery and Sugar Cane Factory. Further necrosis of mucosa layer were observed in fishes treated by mixture of artificial solutions. The intestine of treated fishes showed accumulation of mast cells in lamnia propria. The intestine of fishes exposed to sulphate discharge was more effected. There was accumulation of the goblet cells in lining mucosa layer, haemorrhages and necrosis in lamia propria. Accomparied with fishes exposed to Sugar Factory discharge showed only haemorrhages of lamia propria of intestines. The effects of tannery discharges on livers were presented by infiltration of leukocytes, pyknotic nuclei, hypertrophy and cytoplasmic vaculation of hepatocytes. Haemorrhage in hepatocytes occur in fishes exposed to the mixture of artificial solutions of chromium and sulphate. Livers of fish treated by Sugar Factory discharge showed pyknotic nuclei, focal necrosis and large sinusoid in the hepatic cells. The kidneys of treated fishes showed hypertrophy of tubules, pyknotic nuclei, infiltration of leukocytes, in addition to swelling of Bowman capsule in fishes exposed to chromium discharge and mixture of artificial solutions, while enlarge of tubules occurred in fishes exposed to Sugar Factory discharge. The results indicates the degree effects of Tannery discharges, Sugar Factory discharge in fishes were directly proportional with the concentrations. Histopathological effects of fish organs are useful indicators for environmental pollution. Tannery and Sugar industry discharges are dangerous to environment and consequently hazardous to human as they accumulate through food chain. | en_US |
