Abstract
Abstract
This research aim at studying the self—esteem of stuttering
students in some secondary schools in Khartoum state and it is
relationship to some variables such as sex, class, age, and
academic achievement. The researcher used the descriptive method.
The sample consist (121) stuttering students, they were selected
intentionally, their age range is (13-20) years, age Melina is (16)
years. The researcher used the test of self— esteem designed by
researcher and (James, 2000) questionnaire to recognized to
student suffering from stutter. The data analyzed by spss. The result
indicated that the self— esteem of stuttering students is significantly
low, there is correlation relationship between age and self— esteem
but not significant, there is significant positive relationship between
self— esteem and academic achievement, there are no significant
statistical differences between stuttering according to variables of
class or sex. In conclusion the researcher presented some
suggestion and recommendations.
