Abstract

tract The research aims to evaluate the efficiency of the procurement system and stores in Petrodar Company for petroleum operations. The research aims to explain the role of procurement and stores management to achieve the objectives of the company. The research followed a descriptive and analytical approach used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The research is structured a number of hypotheses were developed and examined namely; The weakness of cooperation in communication between managements leads to increase expenses. increasing of demand lead to increase the storage expenditure and then increases capital amount for investment of storage. The planning appropriation and sound management of capital support the company profitability. storage materials of petroleum near residencies area effect negatively on environment. The research found that the system of procurement and stores in Petrodar company for petroleum operations, has a clear structure, policies and procedures, which can carry out its tasks efficiently, which earned it the confidence of other departments in the company. The research also showed that the procurement system has a prompt payment system to encourage suppliers continuously providing materials and have facilitated the smooth, efficient supply. The research also found the efficiency of operations system cadres tackles and handles materials without adversely affecting the environment. The research recommended activating and increasing the role of the permanent control over the measurement of orders, and develops plans and programs necessary to adjust the orders through the development of procedures constantly at work, and the attention of the system with all the elements of action and activity at different levels for the purpose of improving performance. The research also recommended greater transparency in the appointment of staff qualifications needed by the system.
