Abstract
Anticancer activity of sixteen known 2-[2‘-(N,N-
Dimethylamino)]ethyl-9-Aza-Anthrapyrazoles against LoVo Tumor
Cell Line were picked up from literature. Some of their
physicochemical parameters which include molar refiactivity, molar
volume, and polarizability were calculated using ACD/lab freeware.
The biological activity data was obtained as log IC50. Pairing of
parameters with biological activities gave three main datasets.
Regression analysis done for these main sets to give very poor
correlations as indicated by R2. In order to extract good correlations
from our sets, we divided of them according to the similarity of
outermost moiety in the C5 side chain. This yields four sub sets (each
of which composed of four compounds). We had traced activity
pattern for these sub sets using R2 as an index. All subsets followed
consistent activity profiles explainable statistically and/or chemically.
