Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to study and analyze the impact of applying of the Total Quality Management (TQM) on the Sudanese Regular Forces with reference to ‘the Sudanese Armed Forces as a case study. The problem lies in the decline of the Anned Forces‘ performance and possible upgrading, improvement and excellence according to TQM concepts. The study hypothizes that Total Quality Management (TQM) is a method for improvement and that the Ar1ny's concepts and culture could keep up with development and modernization which are the State's sole responsibility. The study has adopted descriptive, historical and analytical method in handling primary and secondary data as well as social survey in the questionnaire. The most important results: a- Total Quality Management (TQM) is not specific science, but it's a field of modern administration attempts whose advocates tend to create new concepts and techniques that can improve efficiency of their skills to cope with development and modernization. b- The possibility of application of the (TQM) on the Sudanese Anned Forces. The most important recommendations: a- The application can be made through conviction and commitment of the Higher Command and juniors. b- Dissemination of TQM culture through programs and seminars targeting commanders and through training disciplines for the units and candidates c- Establishment of a Plarming Department for Quality at the Ministry of Defence to pave the way for institutional work in the future to ensure quality in all domains.
