Frequency of Factor XIII Val 34 Leu Polymorphism with Unexplained Recurrent Abortion

Abstract

Abstract Background and Objectives Recurrent abortion or recurrent miscarriage is defined as the occurrence of two or more consecutive fetal losses between the 8th and the 12th week of gestation without a known reason with the same partner. This studies was conducted at Faculty of graduate Alneelain University, and aimed to detection the frequency of factor XIII Val 34 Leu polymorphism among Sudanese women in unexplained recurrent abortion. Material and Method This is a case control study, in which a total of 80 participants were enrolled. 40 were women had unexplained recurrent abortion as case group. Further 40 pregnant healthy females with successful pregnancies, with no history of abortion, were included as a control group. Genomic DNA was extracted using soulting out method and factor XIII Val 34 Leu polymorphism was detected by allele specific polymerase chain reaction method. Result The present study revealed that the frequency of factor XIII Val 34 Leu polymorphism was 0% in our study population. Conclusion This study concluded that the factor XIII Val 34 Leu polymorphism completely absent in our study population.

ملخص الدراسة الخلفية والاهداف الاجهاض المتكررهو حدوث فقدان متتالي للجنين مرتين او اكثر بين الاسبوع الثامن والاسبوع الثاني عشر من الحمل دون سبب معروف .اجريت هذه الدراسة في كلية الدراسات العليا جامعة النيلين, و هدفت الى الكشف عن تكرار الطفرة الجينيةfactor XIII Val 34 Leu لدى النساء السودانيات اللائي يعانين من الاجهاض المتكرر غير معروف السبب. المواد وطريقة البحث هذه الدراسة التحكيمية شملت 80 مشارك, 40 نساء لديهم اجهاض متكرر غير مبرر كحالة دراسية و40 نساء اخريات حوامل اصحاء ليس لديهم أي تاريخ للإجهاض كمجموعة ضابطة تم استخراج الحمض النووي باستخدام طريقة الترسيب الملحي. Factor XIII val 34 leu وتم الكشف عن الطفرة الجينية بواسطة تفاعل البلمرة المتسلسل. النتيجة لدى النساء Factor XIII Val 34 Leuاظهرت هذه الدراسة ان نسبة السودانيات كانت صفر الخاتمة خلصت هذه الدراسة بعدم وجود الطفرة الجينيةFactor XIII Val 34 Leu في جميع المشاركين
