Characterization and optical properties of pumpkin seeds (Honey pumpkin and Bitter Melon)

Abstract

Abstract In this study the seeds has been taken for honey pumpkin and bitter melon in order to study some physical properties such as optical properties and physical characterization by using Fourier Transform Infra Red FT-IR Spectrometer and X- Ray Fluorescence XRF Spectrometer. To find the concentration of elements (((potassium (K), calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr) ,Magnesium(Mn),Iron(Fe),Nickel(Ni), copper(cu), Zinc (Zn),Lead (pb) ,Bromine (Br) , Rubidium (Rb), Strontium (Sr)), . It was found that the concentration of potassium in honey pumpkin is grater than in bitter melon.and the find bounds Esters (C=O) and Aldehydes (C=O).

المستخلص تم اخذ عينة من حبوب القرع العسلي والقرع المر وتمت دراسة بعض الخصائص الفيزيائية مثل الخصائص الضوئية و الوصف الفيزيائي باستخدام جهاز مطايفية الاشعة تحت الحمراء FT IR و جهازأشعة س المفلورة .XRF.و تم التعرف علي تراكيز العناصر الموجودة ( البوتاسيوم ، الكالسيوم،النيكل، الكروم،المغنسيوم،الحديد، النحاس ، الزنك ، الرصاص ، الكروم، البروم، الاسترانشيوم ،الربيديوم) ووجد أن تركيز عنصرالبوتاسيوم في القرع العسلي اعلي من تركيزه في القرع المر . كما وجد ان اغلب الروابط استرات والدهيدات.
