Abstract
This study was carried out at the department of physics, Al-Neelain
University. The flowering plants Zizz'phusspina- christi -localy known as
sidr-was used. The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) results indicated that, the
local sidr (leaves) are contained Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca),
Titanium(Ti), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Lead
(Pb), Bromine (Br), Rubidium (Rb), Strontium (Sr), Zirconium (Zr) and
Niobium (Nb).
The Persian Sidr (leaves) are contained Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca),
Titanium(Ti), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Lead
(Pb), Bromine (Br), Rubidium (Rb), Strontium (Sr), Zirconium (Zr) and
Niobium (Nb), we note that Calcium (Ca) has highest Concentration and
Niobium (Nb) has least Concentration.
The Fourier Transfonn Infra Red (FTIR) spectmm of local sidr (leaves)
showed functional groups of acid chlorides, alcohols, carboxylic acid,
amides and amines. In Persian sidr FTIR spectra showed ketones,
carboxylic acid, alkenes and amines, from Ultra Violet(UV) we found
the leaves of sidr are insulator material.
