Abstract

The important site of the continent on the most important water bodies and fjords in the world, made it and excellent place for the imperialist powers in the past and present, Africa comprises the greatest water lakes and the longest freshwater rivers in the world ,and the three most important straits, the Bab al-Mandab , the Suez Canal and the Strait of Gibraltar, in addition to that it is the connecting link between the Arab world, Europe and America.
