Cryptosporidiosis is a well recognized diarrhoeal disease that leads to dehydration and electrolytes disturbance. Under-five-year-old children, both immunosuppressed and immunocompetent are affected by this disease. They may succumb from fluid deficit and electrolytes derangement if not promptly treated. The disease is commonly underdiagnosed in the paediatric clinical practice in Sudan.en_US
