Abstract

This study was conducted on the pigeon pea collected from White Nile State and grawia tenax collected from Aldeain area in northDarfur State to determine the concentration of some essential trace elements such as (Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe) by using AAS and UV visible spectroscopy . The result ofpigeon pea analysis by AAS showed a high concentration of Magnesium (77.9 ppm), and (7.1538 ppm) of Ca ( 6.1758 ppm) of Zn and low concentration ofFe (0.7993 ppm). The grawia tenax revealed the following Ca concentration is high (60.03l2 ppm), Mg (4.6912 ppm), Fe (l.0864 ppm), and Zn was found at low concentration(0.387 ppm). The Assessment of iron using UV visible spectroscopy in both samples, it was found that the concentration of iron is fairly identical. -
