dc.description.abstractThis study evaluates anESP coursebooks taught to Sudan International University students of the first year of Medical Laboratory science. The textbook is developed by the researchers following textbook universal characteristics. A checklist has been adapted from xxas well as an interview that have been designed for content lectures which based on Carter (19983) characteristics.Ten content lecturers with minimum of one year experience of teaching have been involved in the evaluation. Analysis of the obtained data showed that the textbook is authentic, and has met the needs of the students‟ moreover the lectures are satisfied with textbook language components, tasks, activities, exercises, and critical discourse analysis features. It was shown that although the textbook had some shortcomings, it had met students‟ needs and it could be a good book in the hand of a good languageinstructorsen_US
