DOMESTIC PIGEON INTESTINAL HELMINTHES INFETION IN KHARTOUM STATE: (Omdurman and Aloshara)

| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT This study was conducted to detect the intestinal worms in ten pigeons (Columba livia) obtained from two regions in Khartoum state: Aloshra and Omdurman from December 2019-January 2020. The total rate of infection was 80%, of both Nematodes and Cestodes. The incidence infection of nematode was Ascaridia spp 2.5%, while the incidence of cestodes was Raillietina spp 2.5%, R.tetragona constituted 45%, R. cesticillus 37.5%, and R. echinobothrida 12.5%. Raillietina sp. was most common of helminthes. When a comparison between Oshara and Omdurman showed that the number of worms was 33 in Omdurman and 7 in Oshara which indicate that the infection rate was more in Omdurman. الخلاصة أجريت الدراسة لمعرفة انواع الديدان المعوية التي تصيب الحمام في منطقتين من ولاية الخرطوم وهم العشرة بالخرطوم وام درمان، في الفترة من ديسمبر ٢٠١٩- يناير٢٠٢٠. كانت الإصابة الكلية بالديدان المعوية ٨٠%. ، تم التعرف علي نيماتودا وسستودا . وقد أوضحت النتائج وجود نوع واحد من النيماتودا (% 2.5Ascaridia spp ) وأربعة انواع من السستودا ( R. cesticillus 37.5%, R. tetragona 45% , R. echinobothrida 12.5% Raillietina spp 2,5%). كما اظهرت الدراسة أن Raillietina sp هو النوع السائد الذي وجد في أمعاء الحمام. أوضحت الدراسة ان الاصابة بالديدان في منطقة ام درمان اكثر مقارنة بالعشرة. | en_US |
