Abstract
This study aims at identifying the weaknesses of the leadership of
the Non Governmental Organizations in Sudan, that the researcher has
noticed within his work, and from his exploration study. The signs of this
problem were seen in the leaders misunderstanding of the philosophy of
administration leadership, and the weakness of the systematical
efficiency of the leaders of these organizations which is facing problems
of financing, planning, coordinating, and communication. The
hypotheses of the study are follows:
1/T here is significant statistical relation between leadership Qualification
and improvement of the performance of the Non Governmental
Organizations in Sudan.
2/T here is significant statistical relation between leadership Qualification
and the changes in voluntary work environment
3/T here is significant statistical relation between leadership Qualification
and Power of decision making in Non Governmental Organizations in
Sudan.
4/There is significant statistical relation between leadership Qualification
and the methods that are used in selecting and training leaders.
The main objective of this study is to explore the current role of
the administrative leadership in developing the performance of the Non
Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Sudan.
This objective can be achieved through many factors such as; the
importance of the leadership in NGO, the ability of the management
against change in the environment of the charity organizations, the
decision making, and the methods of selecting and training of the
leaders, their qualifications, the information system and the coordination
between these organizations.
The study examined group of the NGOs through a questionnair
formed especially for this study, this questionnair administered to a
number of the workers in these organizations. The descriptive analysis
method was used for the study. The study indicates results and
recommendations such as; the importance of the role of leadership for
developing the performance of the NGOs is essential, but there are
many other factors that lead to the success of the organizations such as
the political status, security, management roles, and the traditional
society.The study also reveals the needs of the training and the
weakness of the information system.
A model for improving the performance of the Non Governmental
Organizations has been formed. The model consists of nine axes and a
number of branches, starting with the planning and ending with
evaluation and development. Between these two, there are the finance
and investment, the human resources, relation and information,
activities and services. The Leadership is the dynamo of the model.
