Abstract
Abstract
This study aimed at studying the effect of using the
computer in teaching the literary texts on the second class
/secondary school students’ achievement. ~
q pThe researcher followed the “descriptive method to cover
the theoretical part of the research as well as the experimental
method to cover the practical part.
The study community consists of the second class 1422 girl_
Students of the state higher secondary stage.
40 students were randomly chosen as the sample of the study’20
from Abd_' ELRaheem Taha high secondary school for girls as a
controlling groups and 20 from Salamabi higher secondary
school for girls as an experimenting groups. - q_
A l The‘ researcher subjected the two groups to a pre-
achievement test to check their equality before the experiment.
The result proved absence of statistical differences between the
marks of the two groups. Then the researcher taught the
controlling group using the traditional teaching aids; whereas
she taught the experimental group the same lessons using the
computer. After this experiment the two groups were given a
post-achievement test.
~ -Then the researcher used a questionnaire to survey the
opinions of the Arabic language teachers concerning the
computer as a means of teaching and learning. Another
questionnaire was given to the experimental groups students to
know whether they had benefited from the programme .
