dc.description.abstractAbstract : The research was carried out on aprivate farm under the supervision of the general Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries Affairs in the State of Kuwait , in order to study the effect of treated industrial wastewater on soil and plant characteristics during the season (2017-2018). The experiment was designed according to an international design in complete random sectors with two treatments and Three replicates. the first was ground water from awell at adepth of 60m in the plant and the second on treated wastewater at the Wafra treatment station of the station and the shuaiba / State of Kuwait , In this study,statistical analysis was performed using statistical functions within the Excel program and at a significant level of % 5 The result showed that the fresh water contained low concentrations of heavy metal elements and toxic elements less than the permissible limits in the Kuwait specifications of irrigation water. In treated wastewater, it was found to contain high concentrations ofheavy metal and toxic elements above the permissible limits in the Kuwait water specifications irrigation ,these high concentrations are likely to contribute to rasing the concentrations of heavy and toxic elements in the soil and thus their transfer in the soil layers to the ground water with the presence of irrigation, and also rais its concentration in the parts of the plant , data is not fit for consumption. The quality for irrigation water has an impact on the productive characters of the plant ( quantity and quality ), where the equal amounts of fresh water and treated wastewater achived a super-apparent productivity when treated with fresh water 19.333 t/h and 13.333 t/h in treatment of treated water,of irrigation water and nitrogen fertilizer for water experiments (fresh and treated). Since the quality of the water affected the formal characteristics of the potato tubers , in the experience of fresh water, the size of tubers in general was larger and naturally colored and in good condition,unlike in the XIVexperiment of treated water was the size of potato tubers somewhat smaller and the color of some tubers green and unnatural with black dots. In germination , for example,the germination rate of the potato plant in the fresh water expermint was higher than the germination rate of the potato plant in the treated water experiment during different stages of growth. In area occupied by the plant , the treatment of irrigation with fresh water was 2345.8 cm2 higher than treated irrigation with treated water 2750 cm2 . While the number of branches of the plant was 2.33 in the treatment of fresh water irrigation and 2.17 in the irrigation treatment of treated water. In the number of leaves per plant , treatment of treated water was recorded with the highest mean of 39.5 compared to the treatment to the treatment of fresh water irrigation 31.7en_US
