Assessment of serum Lactate Dehydrogenase Enzyme activity in corona virus Patients in Khartoum state -Sudan

Back ground :corona virus disease is serious disease distributed world wide causing severe effect on :health ,economic ,social . Till now no effective treatment is discovered , so it become a real problem to all world .

Objectives : To assess the mean serum lactate dehydrogenase enzyme activity in COVID-19 patients at Khartoum state

Materials and Methods : This study was cross-sectional study carried out at Universal hospital at Khartoum state from January to april 2021 with 60 participants diagnosed with COVID-19 disease against 60 free of disease LDH is measured to all participants using Cobas 311 operator and data analyzed by SPPP version 11.5

Result : The study showed that the mean level of LDH was high in COVID-19 patients compare with group that free of disease , the level of enzyme is higher in mild group (268.8 +_29.5) when compared to moderate (241+- 35.1)p and severe group (243+- 46.3) with p value(0.037) .No significant difference between the mean level of LDH between male and female and reverse relation of LDH level and age .

Conclusion : The study concluded that the mean level of LDH enzymye activity is elevated in patients with corona virus disease with more elevation in those with mild form of disease

الخلفيه :فيروس كورونا يعتبر من اخطر الامراض سريعة الانتشار التي انتشرت على مستوي العالم والتي احدثت اثار كبيره علي شتى المجالات الصحيه والاقتصاديه والاجتماعيه .حتى يومناهذا لم يفلح العلماء في ايجاد العلاج الناجع لهذا الوباء مما جعله مشكله حقيقيه تهدد العالم

الهدف :تقييم متوسط مستوى انزيم اللاكتيت في مرضى الكورونا داخل ولاية الخرطوم

الطرق والادوات : هذه دراسه مقطعيه اجريت في مستشفى يونيفرسال في ولايه الخرطوم بمشاركة 60 مريض بكورونا و60 معافى واجري الفحص على المجموعتين باستخدام جهاز كوباس وحللت النتائج باستخدام برنامج التحليل الاحصائي في الفتره من يناير الي ابريل 2021

النتيجه :هذه الدراسه دلت على ان متوسط مستوى انزيم اللاكتيت مرتفع في الفئه التي تعاني من مرض فيروس الكورونا مقارنة بالفئه التي لا تعاني من المرض وان مستوى الانزيم اعلى في الفئه التي تعاني من المرض بدرجه خفيفه (268+_29.5) مقارنه بالفئه المتوسطه(241.3+_35.1) والدرجه الخطيره من المرض (243+_46.3) كما انه لا يوجد اختلاف واضح في متوسط مستوى الانزيم بين الرجال والنساء وان متوسط مستوى الانزيم ينقص بالعمر

الخلاصه :مستوى انزيم اللاكتيت مرتفع في مرضى الكورونا واكثر ارتفاعا عند الدرجه الخفيفه من المرض
