dc.description.abstractAbstract Hepatitis A virus (HAV) infections occur mainly as a result of bad hygienic conditions and Food borne infections were very common in developing countries due to the problem of both personal and environmental unhygienic sanitary practices. This was descriptive cross-sectional study which had conducted during the period from January to May 2018, to determine sero-frequency of hepatitis A virus IgG, IgM among food service workers in Khartoum. The study include 90 Food service workers, their ages ranged between 15-60 years, with mean (15.6), 87(96.7%) were males and 3(3.3%) were females. The prevalence of hepatitis A virus IgG, IgM were 84(93.3%), 5(5.6%) respectively. Most of positive cases their ages ranged between 15-30 years. According to nationality, among total, 65(72.3%) of participants were Sudanese, while 25(27.7%) were Ethiopian. Regarding anti HAV- IgG, most positive results concentrated on males 81(96.4%) most of them were Sudanese 64(76.1%), and among age group (15-30) were about 54(64.3%) . But regarding anti HAV IgM, the highest positive result observed on males 4(80%), which were Sudanese 3(60%), among age group (15-30) were about 3(60%), The risk of hepatitis A infection was associated with a lack of safer water, and poor sanitation and hygiene such as dirty hands (P. value 0.838). الملخص تحدث عدوي فيروس التهاب الكبد الوبائي (أ) بشكل رئيسي نتيجة لظروف صحية سيئة, وهي شائعة جدا في البلدان النامية التي تنقل الامراض بسبب مشكلة الممارسات الصحية والغير صحية , شخصية او بيئية علي حد سواء. وكانت هذة دراسة مقطعية اجريت في الفترة من يناير وحتي مارس 2018 لتحديد مدي حدوث التهاب الكبد الوبائي في مجال الخدمات الصحية في الخرطوم, اشتملت الدراسة علي 90 من العاملين في مجال الاغذية, وتراوحت اعمارهم من 15-60 عاما", الوسط الحسابي (15.6), 87(96.7%) منهم ذكور و حوالي 3(3.3%) منهم اناث. انتشار فيروس التهاب الكبد الوبائي IgG, IgM بنسبة 5(5.6%), 84(93.3%) علي التوالي, وتراوحت اعمار معظم النتائج الايجابية بين 15-30 عاما". فيما يتعلق بالتهاب الكبد الوبائي (أ)IgG تتركز النتائج الايجابية علي الزكور 81(96.4%) ومعظمهم من السودانيين 64 (76.1%), تتركز النتائج في الفئة العمرية من 15-30 عاما" 54(64.3%)., اما مايتعلق بالكبد الوبائي (أ) IgM تتركز النتائج الايجابية في فئة الزكور 4(80%), ومعظمهم من السودانيين 3(60%) ايضا", تتركز النتائج في الفئة العمرية من 15-30 حوالي 3(60%). خطر الاصابة بالتهاب الكبد الوبائي (أ) تم تعايشة مع نقص المياة الامنة وضعف الصرف الصحي والنظافة الصحية مثل الايدي القزرة, النتيجة الاحتمالية (0.838)en_US
