Synthesis and Antimicrobial Evaluation of New 1,3- Thiazole Derivatives

Abstract

Benzimidazoles are very important classes of compounds due to their wide spectrum biological activity. Their derivatives are used as antiviral (Garuti et al.,2000, 2001), antifungal (Clemons, Kawasaki and Göker et al, 1971, 2002, 2003), antitumor(Weekes et al. 2009, Lion et al., 2006, Mortimer et al. 2006 and Wells et al., 2003) and antihelminthic agents (Jaya et al., 2003). They are also utilized in veterinary medicine (spasov et al., 1999 and Preston 1980) Some of the Benz imidazole derivatives are now included in many commercialized drugs(Averkin et al., (1975, Beil et al.,1987 and Simon et al.1991).
