Synthesis and Optical Properties of New Double Perovskite Oxides A2LaVO6 (A= Sr, Ba, Ca)

Abstract

New double perovskite oxide A 2 LaVO 6 where A= Ba, Sr and Ca were synthesized through solid state reaction route. The information about the molecular bonding is obtained from the FTIR spectra. The calculated band gap from UN - Visible spectra characterizes the (insulating) nature of the material and a data analysis the result showed that all posses high band gab energy (3.9 – 4.2 – 4.4eV) respectively.
