dc.description.abstractAbstract—This paper looked into water harvesting as a source of water supply in Sudan. First; it reviewed different experiences of water harvesting in the world. Examples are provided from: China, Jordan, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Europe, Malaysia, United States and Ethiopia. The paper examined water harvesting as a water resource. It explained the working mechanisms and important aspects of rainwater collection, treatment and storage. Different techniques of rainwater harvesting in Sudan have been categorized and examples of some projects are provided together with analysis ofthe end lessons learned from these experiences were summarized.en_US
