| dc.description.abstract | Abstract Tobacco plant exists in widespread areas in Sudan. It is cultivated in different places mainly in Western Sudan (Darfor state). This plant is well known scientifically by several names such as Nicotianarustica and Nicotiantabacum. The aim of this study is to determine the concentration of Heavy metals (Lead, Cadmium, Chromium, Nickel, Iron, Copper and Zinc) in tobacco samples taken from leaves, stem and root by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Determination of nicotine in leaves is obtained using HPLC after extraction. Nicotine dipcrate was precipitated as crystals. Tobacco plant is widely used in Sudan as (snuff, cigarette and chewing). Tombak is a local name for tobacco as Sudanese tradition kept in mouth between the lip and the jaw. The results in this study revealed the presence of the heavy elements cadmium, lead and chromium. Higher concentrations of these elements are known to inhibit enzyme action. ملخص البحث يعتبر نبات التبغ من النباتات واسعة الانتشار يزرع في مناطق عديدة فى السودان واهم مناطق زراعته فى غرب السودان )دارفور( . نبات التبغ يعرف علميا بعدة اسماْء مثل نيكوتينا روستيكا ونيكوتيناتوباكم. الغرض من هذا البحث هو قياس تراكيز بعض العناصر الثقيله )الرصاص ، الكاميوم، الكروم، النيكل، الحديد، النحاس والخارصين( فى عينات التبغ اخذت من الاوراق و الساق و الجزر باستخدام جهاز الامتصاص الذرى, وايضا تم استخلاص مادة النيكوتين وقدرت كميتها فى عينة من الاوراق باستخدام جهاز كروماتوغرافيا السائل ذو الكفاءه العالية. وترسيب مادة النيكوتين على هيئة بلورات من النيكوتين ثنائى البيكرات. نبات التبغ من النباتات واسعة الاستخدام فى السودان فيتسخدم فى عدة اشكال منها )التمباك،السجائر، الشيشة(. والتمباك اسم محلى للتبغ وكعادة سودانية يوضع فى الفم بين الشفاه و الفك. واظهرت النتائج وجود العناصرالسامة والمثبطة لعمل الانزيمات مثل الكادميوم والرصاص والكروم بنسب عالية. | en_US |
