dc.description.abstractAbstract— The present study was carried out at Atbara River and Khashm E-Girba reservoir, to determine the fish species and population structure within the reservoir during different seasons, and the effect of the annual flushing on fisheries productivity and the population structure. Nine fish families were recorded during this study, Mormyridae, Cyprinidae, Characidae, Bagridae, Cichlidae MochokidaeClariidae, Schilbeidae and Centropomidae. Nineteen species of fish, belonging to sixteen genera were of the species had r>0.90, 26.6% had r values between 0.70 - 0.80 while 20% had r values lower than 0.70.en_US
