Abstract
The aim of this research is to know the reality of the organizational structure of The Central Bank of Sudan and to what extent the administration of the bank is committed to apply the scientific methods of the organizational structures and to recognize the problems organizational structure which the Central Bank suffers of. The problem of the research is represented in the following questions:
1- Is there any relationship between the current organizational structure of The Central Bank and the problems that The Central Bank facing now?
2- Is the bank administration following the scientific methods in designing the organizational structure of the bank?
3- Are the lines of command plain and clear to the employees?
The research has depended on three basic hypotheses:
1- There is a relationship between the organizational structure of the bank and the current problems the bank suffering from.
2- The non- commitment with the scientific standards in designing the organizational structure had its negative effect on performance.
3- The non- clearness of the lines of command hindered the transfer of information.
The research depended on the descriptive analytical methods and case study method as well as the use of statistical analysis (SPSS) for data analysis.
The research is consisting of four chapters, the first one is the general frame work of the research, the second one is the theoretical frame work of the research, the third one is the case study, and the fourth and last one is the results and recommendations.
The most important results of the research are the following:
1- The command lines is the central bank of Sudan are clear which assist on passing the instructions and information.
2- There are some problems that hinder the optimal performance these problems were caused by the interaction of responsibilities and authorizations between
the administrations and the sections.
3- There is manual explaining how the tasks can be discharged in most of the administrations and sections.
From the fore- mentioned results, the research concluded to the following recommendations:
1- There should be some efforts to remove the obstacles in authority delegation.
2- There should be a clear separation between responsibility and authority in some departments in the central bank.
3- There should be some sort of rearrangement in distribution of authorities and responsibilities to maintain balance in administrations and sections.
