An Intelligent Parking System to Solve Congestion Problem in the Central Area of Khartoum

Abstract

In urban society congestion problems is one of the most important and prominent problems which faces the people and institutions, because they hinder the development and completion work. in addition, the countries know its evolution through solving those problems of congestion, in this paper, a solution to the problem of congestion in the central area of Khartoum "where it is the main artery of the city of Khartoum" by creating intelligent parking cars suits this area, the area is known as the narrow streets considering solution of staking problem within the same parking via guiding the driver from the entrance , Plus a smart phone application to guide the driver from outside the parking , way to solve congestion problem is microcontroller technique. As a result, the congestion problem has been solved by reducing the number of cars in that area and there has been a smooth flow of traffic.
