Abstract
Abstract
This study aims at identifying the educational, social variable and
academic achievement of pupils in southern Darfor state in the
emigrants camp, Nyalla Locality, from the point of view of teachers,
parents and pupils.
The researcher used the descriptive and historical approaches
because the problem of the research has historical dimensions. The
target group include teachers in the emigrants schools, guardians and
pupils in the camps. The number of chosen camps were four, they are
: a) Musia, b) diraij, C) Alsareef, d) Attash. The sample was
mounting up to (208) , (80) were teachers 1 (40) males and (40)
females. (64) were parents : (32) fathers and (32) mothers. (64) were
pupils 1 (32) boys and (32) girls. All of them were chosen by the
random provisional methods.
Study tools were I observation and interviews which were
conducted by the researcher. The researcher used various method in
the statistical processes which were: repetition, percentage, T test. K
square, alFa cronpakh coefficient, disparity analysis.
The study results are as following :
l — There is significant passive attitude from the part of the
teachers towards the educational and social variables.
2 — There are no difference constituting statistical inference
regarding teachers attitude towards the educational and social
variables which can be attributed to gender.
3 — Parents have a passive attitude towards the educational and
social variables.
4 — There are no differences constituting statistical inference
conceming the parent's attitude towards the educational and social
variables which can be attributed to gender (father / mother).
5 - There is a positive correlation between the educational and
social variables and academic achievement.
6 — There are no differences constituting statistical inference
regarding the attitudes of teachers towards leaming variables which
can be attributed to the place (camp).
7 — There are no differences constituting statistical inference
countemiining the academic achievement which can be attributed to
gender.
8 — The ministry of Education plays appositive role in improving
the leaming environment in the camps.
9 — The performance of the pupils in the camps (males/ females)
is poor.
By the end of this study the researcher has arrived at a number of
recormnendations and also a number of suggestions for future studies
in the same field.
