Abstract
Cadmium sulfide doped with Strontium thin film were successfully prepared using co-perception technique and deposited on glass substrate using spin coating method. XRD studies reveal that the CdS/Sr thin films have orthorhombic structure and the crystalline size calculated by Scherer's formula found to be equals 5.78nm. The FTIR spectra for the samples measured in the range of 400-4000𝑐𝑚−1exhibit showing the absorption band around 616cm-1,1413cm-1,1663cm-1,2337cm-1. The Band gaps energy of the materials were calculated from the UV -V is absorptionfor the sample Cd1-xSrxS (x=0.00, 0.1, 0.15, 0.30, 0.35), and they were found to be1.67eV, 1.79eV, 1.87eV, 2eV, 2.09eV which are semiconductor.
