Item Effects of mineral admixture on concrete mix In Khartoum State, Sudan(Al-Neelain University, 2010) Ali Nassar El-dain Mohamed IbrahimThis research examined the potential of bagasse ash, metakaolin, volcanic ash , rhyolite, ignimbrite and trachy basalt for development as pozzolanic materials in concrete. chemical properties of bozzolanic materials were investigated before and alter increasing the fmeness by grinding. Compressive strength of concrete containing bagasse ash, metakaolin, volcanic ash , rhyolite, ignimbrite and trachy basalt for 10, 20, ands 30% by weight of binder were investigated. The results showed that the compressive strengths of pozzolzanic materials concretes with 10% replacement of tracky basalt and bagasse ash is lower than pure Portland cement concrete in 28 and 60 days but, is greater than it in 90 and 120 days. The volcanic ash and rhyolite 10% blended cement is lower than pure Portland cement in 28 days and greater than it in 60,90 and 120 days. The metakaolin and ignimbrite 10% blended cement strength is greater than pure Portland cement in 28, 60, 90 and 120 days. The tracky basalt, bagasse ash, volcanic ash and rhyolite 20% blended cement strength is lower than pure Portland cement in 28, 6O,and 90 days and greater than a in 120 days. The ignimbrite blended cement strength is greater than pure Portland cement in 28 days, similar to a in 60 days and increased over a in 90 and 120 days. For the metakaolin blended cement strength is greater than pure Portland cement in 28 days, lower than it in 60 days, similar to it in 90 days and greater than it 120 days. All the pozzolanic materials used in 30% blended cement strength is lower than pure Portland cement in 28, 60 and 90 days but greater than it in 120 days. These results approved that the strength of pozzolanic material when used as partial replacement for Portland cement in concrete depended mostly on the grain size , chemical composition and reactivity of pozzolanic material. material used. This suggested that the original pozzolanic materials were suitable to be used as partial replacement of Portland cement up to 30% in concrete. Eight rock samples were evaluated as concrete aggregates, for their strength, water absorption, impact value and alkali reactivity, the results suggested that only tracky basalt and Suliek granite are suitable. The strength of concrete is directly proportional with concrete age.Item Phytochemical, Chromatographic Analysis and Biological Investigations of Bee Honey Extracts(Neelain University, 2018) Mansoor Adam Hassan BajjAbstract The present study was carried out to extract the crude Bee honey successively with different solvents, methanol, aqueous and ethylacetate extracts are used to investigate the secondary metabolites using phytochemical screening indicated the presence of deoxy sugars, reducing sugars, flavonoids, leucoanthocyanins, carbohydrates, tannins, triterpenes and saponins. The quantitative determination of sugars confirmed that fructose has high percentage 86%. The quantitative determination of chemical constituency showed that flavonoids gave the highest percent of extractability (60%), saponins (30%), The sample of bee honey extracted using chloroform and ethyl acetate solvents in addition to crude honey are investigated in vitro to assess the antimicrobial activity against four Bactrial strains namely Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus subtilis (gram +ve Bactria) and Escherichia coli,Pseudomonas aeruginosa(gram –ve Bactria) and one fungi (Candida albicans). Crude honey exhibited highest antimicrobial activity (inhibition zone: 15mm, at 100% concentration) against Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis followed by chloroform extract. The same extracts mentioned above were investigated to assess their antioxidant activity, the chloroform extract shows the highest antioxidant activity 76% then crude honey 75% and finally ethyl acetate extract 71%. The active honey cholorform extract was further investigated by analytical and preparative TLC chromatographic techniques, afforded four pure fractions which were analyzed by Ultraviolet and infra-red spectroscopy. المستخلص تناولت هذه الدراسة إستخلاص المكونات الكيميائية لخام عسل النحل بإستخدام مذيبات مختلفة . تم إجراء المسح الكيميائى الأولى لثلاث مستخلصات لعسل النحل هى الميثانول، الماء وخلات الإيثل الذي كشف عن وجود السكريات منقوصة الأوكسجين، السكريات المختزلة، الفلافونويدات، الأنثوسيانينات، الكاربوهيدرات، الكومارينات، اللألكلويدات، التانينات، التربينات الثلاثية والصابونينات. كما تم تحديد نسبة السكريات المختزلة كميا حيث شكل الفركتوز النسبة الأعلى 86%. تم أيضا التقدير الكمى لبعض المكونات الكيميائية حيث وجد أن الفلافونيدات تشكل النسبة الأعلى (60%) تليها الصابونينات (30%). من ثم أُجريت التجارب الحيوية المعملية لكل مستخلص بالإضافة لخام العسل لإختبار فعاليتها ضد أربعة أنواع من البكتريا المعيارية ، وهي نوعان من البكتريا موجبة الجرام (العصوية الرقيقة والعنقودية الذهبية) ونوعان من البكتريا سالبة الجرام (الشريكية القولونية والزائفة الزنجارية) وفطر المبيضية البيضاء. أظهر خام العسل أعلى فعالية مثبطة لنمو الميكروبات قيد الدراسة ) مساحة التثبيط تساوي 15مليمتر عند تركيز 100% (ضد الإشريكية القولونية والعنقودية الذهبية يليه مستخلص الكلوروفورم. أجريت أيضا التجارب المعملية لنفس المستخلصات سابقة الذكر لإختبار فعاليتها كمضادات للأكسدة حيث أظهر مستخلص الكلوروفوم أعلى نسبة 76% يليه خام العسل 75% ثم مستخلص خلات الإيثيل 71%. عليه أخضع مستخلص الكلوروفورم بناءً على فعاليته العالية للطرق التحليلية مثل كروماتوغرافيا الطبقة الرقيقة التحليلية والتحضيرية التى نتج عنهما فصل أربعة مجزئات نقية تم تحليلها بإستخدام طيف الأشعة فوق البنفسجية الأشعة تحت الحمراءItem الرضا الوظيفي وعلاقتة بدافعية الانجاز لدى المرشدين النفسيين بولايه الخرطوم(جامعة النيلين, 2018) عبدالعظيم إسماعيل محمد صالحالمستخلص هدفت هذه الدراسةإلي معرفة الرضا الوظيفي وعلاقة بدافعية الانجاز لدي المرشدين النفسيين بولاية الخرطوم .ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي وبلغ حجم العينة (100) فردا من المرشدين النفسيين وتم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في مقياس الرضا الوظيفي ومقياس دافعية الانجاز .واستخدم الباحث أساليب متعددة من المعالجات الإحصائية وتمثلت في اختبار(ت) لعينه واحدة واختبار (ت) لعينتين مستقلتين وتحليل التباين الإحادىوارتباط بيرسون واستخدم الباحث الحزم الإحصائية للعلوم الإجتماعيه spss. وتوصلت الدراسة إلي عدة نتائج منها أن السمة العامة للرضا الوظيفي لدي المرشدين النفسيين يتسم بالارتفاع, تتسم السمة العامة لدافعية الانجاز لدي المرشدين النفسيين بالارتفاع ,وتوجد علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيا بين الرضا الوظيفي ودافعيه الانجاز لدي المرشدين النفسيين, توجد فروق ذات دلاله إحصائيه في الرضا الوظيفي لدي المرشدين النفسيين تعزي لمتغير النوع لصالح الإناث , ولا توجد فروق داله إحصائيا في الرضا الوظيفي لدي المرشدين النفسيين تعزي لسنوات الخبرة . وخلص البحث إلي عده نتائج أهمها: عدم الاعتماد علي تكليف غير المتخصصين للقيام بالعملية الإرشادية. أشعار المرشدين بقميه عملهم الإرشادي الإنساني النبيل . زيادة عدد المرشدين النفسيين في المركز الصحة والمؤسسات التربوية والمؤسسات المهنية. Abstract This research aimed to study job satisfaction and the relationship and achievement motivation among psychological counselors in Khartoum state. The researcher used the correlation descriptive method. The sample size is (100) counselors, they are selected by simple random method. The instruments of research are test of job satisfaction and test of achievement motivation. The researcher used many statistical tests including; T.test for one sample, T.test for two independent samples, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation index. The study revealed many results; the general character of job satisfaction among psychological counselors in Khartoum state is high the general character of achievement motivation among psychological counselors in Khartoum state is high, there is positive significant correlation relationship between job satisfaction and achievement motivation among psychological counselors in Khartoum state, there are significant statistical differences in job satisfaction between psychological counselors in Khartoum state according to variable of sex in favor of females, and there are no significant statistical differences job satisfaction between psychological counselors in Khartoum stat according to variable of years of experience. In conclusion the researcher presented some recommendations as following; incompetent people must not practicing psychological counseling, notify psychological counselors about value of their jobs, and increase the number of psychological counselors in centers f health, institutes of education, and institutes of careers.
