Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to shed some light on the rights of land
ownership and natural resources in Sudan law with particular reference to
Southem Kordofan where land is considered as source of pride for individuals
in tribe and society. Reference is made to the recommendations of the first and
second consultative meetings held in Khartoum, dec.2010 whereby the
following points were highlighted: study of laws and local conventions about
land in accordance with the transitional constitutional law, intemational
accords, Human rights and Religions teachings, along with the difficulties and
problems encountering land commission work conflict settlement mechanism
(Nation commission and state land commission).
