    Using notion of vocabulary scaffolding to motivate EFL learners

    Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the positive impact of using notio ns of vocabulary scaffolding to motivate English foreign language learner s . The researcher used the descriptive analysis methods .the da ta of the study was collected via a questionnaire which consists of 25 items distributed to one hundred students at Al N eelain University students who represents a sample of the population of the study both male and female. The data obtained was analyzed by using (SPSS). The finding of the research: firstly; students regard scaffolding English second language instruction as significantly beneficial because the positive learning environment engenders secondly; scaffolding offers student opportunity to overcome the social barrier of speaking during class, thirdly; teacher awareness' of the students thought on scaffolding insu re acceptance of its beneficial principle. The results also show that by using scaffolding among the students enable them to be motivated towards learning English language
