    Clients‘ Satisfaction with Quality of Family Planning Services in Health Centers Omdurman Locality-2015

    Abstract Back ground: Family planning services are important issue 'm promoting health of mothers, children, families and communities. It improves health through adequate spacing of pregnancies and avoiding pregnancy in at high-risk groups. The overall objective: _ The overall objective of the study was to _a_sls§ (determine, measure) the clients’ satisfaction with the quality of family planning services provided. Research methodology: The study was a descriptive, cross-sectional health facility-based study. The study was conducted in Omdurrnan locality. Fifleen health centers were randomly selected by stratified sampling and a total of 250 glig1Lts_ (participants) at the reproductive age (15-49 years old) were enrolled in the study. Data were collected using an exit questionnaire to assess the clients‘ (participants) demographic characteristics and satisfaction withfamily planning services provided for them. SPSS version 16 was used to analyze the collected data. Results:44% of the participants were in age group 21-30. 70% of the participants were able to discuss issues related to their reproductive with health care providers, more than half of the participants (55%) the healthcare providers did not discuss with them other family planning methods. 80% of the studied group they mentioned that there was no privacy during family planning consultation.Most of clients (participants) (70%) was satisfied to discuss issues and concem related to their reproductive health . About half of the participants (49%) were satisfied with the amount of information they received. 88% of the participants were satisfied with the total time to receive the service. 89% of the participants were satisfied with the approach the staff treated them. Regarding relation between clients‘ level of education and amount of information they were received about the selected methods there was insignificant statistical association between the two variables (P value = 0.107). l Conclusion: The majority of the participants were able to discuss issues and concern related to their reproductive health with the healthcare providers, while most of them mentioned that there was no privacy during family planning consultation. About half of the participants were satisfied with the amount of information they received.

    Family and Community Support of TB Patients -Jebel Awleyah Locality-Khartoum Sudan -2011

    Family and community support are always considered as essential factors need to facilitate coping of the patients with their disease and its outcome. In Sudan the family and ties are still firm. However family and community support for TB patients may not always be encountered to the same extent especially among urban populations. The design was facility-based descriptive. The study was conducted in Gebel Awleyah Locality, which is geographically located in the South of the National Capital of Sudan. The study population was composed of 348 TB patients (pulmonary and extra-pulmonary) in the TBMUs receiving DOT in the intensive phase. A Standardized pre-coded and pre tested administered questionnaire was used for data collection from the TB patients. 99% of the TB patients were supported by their families as they became sick. The family support was expressed in accompanying to the TBMU (96%) and in provision of extra food (99%). The family support in cash was encountered for about 73% of the TB patients. About 31% of the TB patients were supported by the community and 69% of them were not supported. For those TB patients, who were subjected to community support, were mainly supported by their neighbors (98%). The TB patients of both genders were supported by their families mainly by their bothers. The family support was marked in accompanying to the TBMUs and provision of extra food.
