Amel abdulla ahmed2021-09-272021-09-272007-08http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/16742This study was perfonned to detrmine the level of fertility honnones (Follicular stimulating Honnone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LI-I), Prolactin (PRL), Progesterone (PG), Estradiol (E;)), and lipids (Total cholesterol (TC), Triglyceride (TG), Low density Lipoprotein (LDL) and High density Lipoprotein (I-IDL)) in sudanese women of different tribes, and the effect of age on these hormone. As well as the effect of thyroid diseases (Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism) on fertility hormones and lipids. This study includes 97 healthy sudanese women age range (18-60) years fi"0m different tribes and have regular cycle, they were devided into three groups according to age. First group age range (18-30) years, second group age range (31-40) years and third group age range (41-60) years. Also they were devided according to ethnic origin to six tribes. This study also include 37 sudanese women with thyroid disease (Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism) age range (20-65) years, and were devided according to age to three groups. First group age rang (20-30) years, second group age range (31-40) years and third group age range (41-65) years. In healthy women the levels of LH and FSH were found to reach lowest level at age (18-30) years and highest level at (41-60) years, and there is significant difference (P<0.0l). The highest levels of PRL were found to be at age (18-30) years, lowest level at (41-60) years and there is no significant difference. The lowest level of PG and E2 were found to be at (41-60) years, highest level at (18-30) years and there is significant difference (P<0.05) to PG, (P<0.01) to E2. This study explained that the levels of fertility hormones are not affected by tribes because all samples were taken fi'0m women of different tribes but all are living in Khartoum state. I found that also the levels of lipids TC, TG and LDL were elevated when age increased, but HDL level decreased when age increased. The lipids levels were not affected by different tribes because all women which were included in this study are living under the same‘ living environments. The mean age of puberty in sudanese female (l4.05:!:1.5l) is not affected by difference of tribes. . ' Hypothyroid women had decreased levels of LH and F SH and it is significantly different (P<0.0l) when compared with healthy women at different ages, PRL level increased but not significant, level of PG decreased and had significant difference (P<0.0l) and level of E; decreased but not significant. In hyperthyroid females the level of LH and FSH increased and significantly (P<0.0l) to LH and (P<0.05) to FSH, but PRL level was not affected. Level of PG increased, atpsignificant difference (P<0.0l) and level of E2 increased but was not significant. The levels of thyroid hormones (triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4)) and level of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism were investigated. The levels of (TC, TG, HDL and LDL) were elevated in hypothyroid patients with significant difference (P<0.0l) to TC, TG and not significant to HDL and LDL. The levels of these lipids were decreased in hyperthyroid patients with significant difference (P<0.0l) to TC and TG, but not significant to HDL and LDL.enEstrogen -- Physiological effectThyroid glandBlood lipoproteinsThe influenceof Age,tribe and thyroid disorder on hormonal levels andserum lipIDS PROFILE ON WOMEN IN KHARTOUM STATEThesis
