Gravity and magnetic data came fi'om a new airbome survey carried out by New Resolution Geophysics (NRG) in 2009. Additional data surrounding block 9 was provided by GETECH’s African Gravity Project (AGP) and African Magnetic Mapping Project (AMMP) to provide regional insight. Qualitative interpretation, to highlight structural lineaments, faults and basin areas, was performed using deferent software's. This provides a preliminary understanding of stmcture for incorporation into 2D modeling. The major Atbara basin is clearly identifiable in the gravity and magnetic data, this basin apparently developed along NW-SE trending fault systems. 2D modeling was carried out along 3 appropriately located profiles of which are located within the Atbara Basin. Seismic data was interpreted to generate two way time (TWT) map and converted to depth map. Well data located into seismic sections and posted to gravity bouger map to identify the best vision of the basin.enoil basinsGeological explanationsSedimentary rocksThe magnetic field2D Modeling Of Atbara Basin Using Magnetic and Gravity Data InterpretationThesis
