The researcher used the descriptive method, the sample was composed of children who did not receive any parental care. A sample of thirty was selected through the intentional method. The study tool was Auston Standard for emotional adjustment. The researcher also used statistical processes like (B) test of work out the a verge of one group and (T) test to workout the difference between two averages. Birson coefficient correlation and Spirman & Brown coefficient were also used in the study. The study arrived at the following results: l — There is statistical inference regarding the emotional adjustment of children living with their parents and institutionalized children with their families are much better adjusted. 2 — There is statistical inference showing difference in adjustment among the institutionalized children themselves. Children whose parents are separated are much better adjusted than those children whose parents are unknown. 3 — There is no statistical inference showing difference in emotional adjustment according’ to gender (male/female).
