صديق محمد احمد محمد2018-02-262018-02-262012http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/11199ABSTRACT This study focuses on Money Laundering as one of the crimes that affect the Banking System negatively, because Banks & Exchange Companies become one of the means through which Money Laundering crimes pass due to multiple banking services provided by those Banks & Exchange Companies to the public such as transfers, collections, finance .....etc,.therefore, Money Launders try to give legitimacy to their illegal acquisitions that gained from many crimes mainly Commerce of Drugs & weapons. Money Laundering Crimes facing Central Bank of Sudan as a regulator of Banks & Exchange Companies(Supervisory Authority) Research Problem: - The crime of Money Laundering is the one of the biggest problems facing Central Bank of Sudan, what is required from Central Bank of Sudan to do to reduce those risks? - Money Launders take advantage of what is called Banking . Secrecy at the level of local & international Banks & they were not discovered until the Occurrence of Collapse of some Banks. Research Hypotheses: ' - The lack of adequate training of staff charged with combating Money Laundering in Sudanese Banking & Financial institutions. _ - There is an adaptation between Banking Secrecy & Anti- Money Laundering procedures in Sudanese Banks. Research Findings: - Central Bank of Sudan issued publication and guidelines for effective Anti-Money Laundering crimes & Commercial Banks co-operate with Central Bank of Sudan for fighting against such risks. - Anti-Money Launders in Sudanese banks are not adequately trained in the field of Combating Money Laundering Crimes. - Banking Secrecy does not constitute as obstacle in front of Banks to their obligations to Anti-Money Laundering Crimes. ‘ Research Recommendations: A - Banks need to get enough information about their customers or_ their representatives and Anti-Money laundering Unit in Commercial Banks must follow certain files for accounts that exceed the stock amount of their deposits and to report to Anti-Money laundering ~Unit in Central Bank of Sudan to decide whatever action it deems appropriate. - Continuous training and awareness of "Board of Directors and Executive Management and Staff of Banks concern with Anti-Money Laundering and its implications to reduce such risks.
