Abstract
Abstract
This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of programmed instructional
teaching. On Academic achievement in teaching Basic Grammar to grade (8) pupils of
the basic level in the southem rural sector of Omdurman locality.
The experimental approach has been adopted and according an experimental
program of Arabic Grammar subject was designed.
Research population consisted of (410) pupils of grade (8). (195 boys, 215
girls) research samples consisted of 76 pupils of grade 8. (40 boys, 36 girls) in Al-
Garza basic schools. '
Based upon the last test on the subject, the samples were divided into two
groups, a controlling group which was taught through the traditional method whereas
the second one was taught through the programmed instructional teaching.
The T test was used to compare the perfomiances of the two groups and the
study then resents in the following:
1. There are significant difierences at the level of the_s_tatistical significance (0.05), in
the academic achievement of the two groups (the controlling and the experimental)
of the boys and the girls, for the benefit of the experimental group.
2. The use of the programmed instructional technique, in teaching Arabic Grammar
syllabus , at the basic level ,will observed the individual differences between the
pupils, in comparison with the use of the traditional teaching method.
Therefore, the study recommended, the necessity of conducting the
programmed instructional technique, in teaching the Arabic Grammar syllabus, at the
basic level schools, and creating the learning resource centers, capable of propagating
the self-leaming culture, and acquire to give the pupils opportunity to acquire the
instructional skills fiom multi resources.
