المستخلص في ظل عالمنا المعاصر أخذت المعلومات دوراً أكثر عمقاً وشمولية واكتسبت بفعل ذلك قدراً يفوق كثيراً ما كانت تمثله من أهمية فيما مضى ، فلقد أدى اندماج تكنولوجيا الاتصالات مع تكنولوجيا الحاسوب إلى إحداث تغير جذري في مجال المعلوماتية لم يكن مسبوقاً في التاريخ بكامله ، وغدت المعلومات بتكنولوجيتها ونظمها صناعة العصر الرائدة وثروته المتميزة التي تمكن من يمتلكها امتلاك زمام التطور حيث لم تعد المعلومات محصورة في حدود الرصد المعرفي للظواهر والمتغيرات وحركة التطور التاريخي وتنمية المعرفة الإنسانية في هذا السياق بل أصبحت إضافة إلى ذلك أداة فعالة يعتمد عليها في إدارة تشكيل الحاضر ورسم صورة المستقبل ، وصار بمقدورنا القول أن ما يجري في الواقع الراهن هو تحول نحو بناء المجتمع المعلوماتي في عالم يعيش عصر المعلومات. ويظهر ذلك بصورة واضحة في النمو الواسع لشبكة الانترنت واعتمادنا المتزايد على البريد الإلكتروني والخدمات التي تقدمها المواقع على الشبكة العالمية، وكان لابد لدول العالم ان تتجه نحو الاستفادة من هذه التقانة في كافة المجالات بما في ذلك المجالات الادارية للتخلص من الادارة التقليدية، فالإدارة الالكترونية تمثل مدخلا فاعلا لإقرار الطبيعة الورقية في كافة العمليات الادارية وعلى النحو الذى يضفى الطبيعة الالكترونية الى حد خدمة المستفيدين ومن ثم الايفاء بمتطلباتهم عبر شتى الوسائل . مع تزايد الزحف البشرى الهائل والانتشار السكاني ومع توفر التقنية المعلوماتية من حواسيب او تلفونات والاستخدام الهائل للشبكة العنكبوتية قمت في هذا البحث بتصميم نظام يقدم خدمة الحجز الإلكتروني للرحلات السفرية .
