Abstract

11BS'l‘l{1\C'l' This study aimed to investigate at the geomorphic phenomena of the landscape of Hadramout coast district, from Hajer Valley pouring at the west to AL-Maseelah at the east in the besieged area between the southern coast and contourline 200 m at the north . The researcher depended upon contour, geological and topographical maps ,air-photographes and fielding observation in this study . He used the multimethodolgy ; descriptive, historical and statistical quantity methods . The researcher studied the geology of the area and the effect of the east African canyon that formed the general images of the coast .Then the study indicated the geomorphic phenomena of the coast, and the researcher displayed the effective factors which fonned these phenomena e.g. caves, clifis and coralline (reefs or continental as dry vallies, terraces and karst which supported by photographes. The researcher introduced amap shows the important geomorphic shapes of Hadramout coast. The study contained the morphometry of some vallies draining network in the coast. During the fielding study, the researcher collected the samples of sediments of that vallies and of coastal area then analysised mechanically these samples. The study discussed the benefit of the natural resources as minerals, water,\mads constructin and establishment of the seaports. It was conducted to the marin pollution of the coast area and how to ayoid this pollution .
