Abstract

Abstract: This study about medical waste and its impact on the Layout of Social institution, in particular after the vast expansion of medical services preventive , diagnostic and therapeutic causing this health risks not limited to workers in the health sector in all the different fields, but extends to the other members of the community those will be exposed to its risks, prompting the intervention of social medical service represented in the role of specialized social worker in solving such problems. This research aims to reveal the role specialized social worker in the field and to reveal the risks posed by medical waste and its impact on workers in the health sector at the hospital to follow safety means in case of any risks of infection caused by medical waste. - The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, also the researcher used the case study method at the Military Medical Hospital Omdurman and researcher- rely on tools such as interview and the questionnaire. the most important findings of the research : - Waste disposal sample at the Military Medical Hospital in accordance with the standards and specifications, except in three units the emergency, intensive care and teeth units. The specialist has a big role at the hospital in particular at the psychiatric hospital and nervousness while in the rest of the other sections could be T weak role proportion due to lack of understanding of the role ofthe specialist. Activating the role of social service in all departments with the role of the social worker in the medical field in general and establishment of seminars and lectures for workers to make them aware of the risks of the medical waste. -A \ l .
