Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explain the conjugal relations as they constitute one of the most with three fundamental themes in connection with the marital relations, namely; the marriage, polygamy and divorce according to the three divine religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). The researcher adopted the description analytical method for the texts, thoughts analysis and the concepts therein, in order to compare betweer the divine religions in connection with the addressing of the marital relations, as cited in the credited sources in eah religion The research encompassed three chapters : chapter one handled the issue of marriage contract, as it constitutes the legal and shariate introduction to marriage, in order to two addressed polygamy as it aroused a wide and intensive controversy. Chapter three tackled the issue of divorce as one of the mechanisms of revoking the marriage contract, which results in shariate and legal conseguences. One of the similarities three religions to marriage as a sacred issue. The dissimilarites obseved by the reseacher, and mercey . Judaism, however, connects marriage with enjoyment and christianity connects it with necessity. Polygamy is permissible in Islam according to defined condition In judaism, polyamyis absolute and in chistianity it is prohibitive. Divorce is subject to restrictions in Islam. In Judaism, it is easier and in Christianity, it is prohibitive. The most important results shown by the researcher included: that the sources of divine religions were intensively modified and have become irreliable. Islam, however, was maintaind from this modification. The researcher concluded that . the system adopted by islam, partaining to marriage, polygamy and divorce, is a comprehensive and balanced system, as it derives its sanctity from God, the Sublime. It is, therefore, the sole qualitied system to lead the social change worldwide. The researcher recommends expansive scienfitic studies on the family relations in general and on marital relations in particular, in order to be utilized in the solution of social problems in the world. imporant social relations on which the family pillars are based .
