Abstract
This study aimed at the evaluation of the Arabic language curriculum to the
children and youth outside the school of (7 — 9) years of age in Khartoum state. To
achieve this objective, the researcher adopted the descriptive method, and she
designed a tool consisting of seven themes for the data collection. The researcher
selected the study universe fi'om the adult education male and female teachers in
Khartoum state and their number is (562) male and female teachers. Likewise, the
researcher selected a random sample of (65) male and female teachers. She also used
the personal interview. The researcher used the percentage, the arithmetic mean and
Chi-square test for the processing of the data.
The study arrived to the following findings:
1. The scarcity of the Arabic language book for the children and youth outside
the school which is used as a reference to the illiteracy eradication and adult
education programs.
2. The non-generalization of the book to all the states of the Sudan.
3. The small number of the teachers who were prepared and trained for teaching
children and youth curricula outside the school.
4. The currculum objectives are clear.
5. The content is relevant to the age group.
6. The educational aids which are in use are varied and multiple.
7. The book is free of any errors and the general form and the design is
good.
The recommendations:
1. The necessity of printing the book and non-dependence on the supporting
organizations.
Z. The generalization of the book for all the states of the Sudan.
3. To pay attention to the training of the Arabic language before and afier
service.
