Abstract
Abstract
The research investigated the effect of international competition on sugar
manufacture in Sudan focussing on Kinana Sugar Co. (1993/94-2002/03). So
the research focussing on analyzing the marketing environment, marketing
opportunities, market segmentation and building customer relationship, and
marketing implementation and control in the first chapter. The second chapter
deals with intemational marketing concepts, strategies of entering
intemational markets, and marketing mix.
The third chapter of the research with the name of sugar manufacture in
Sudan that studies the historical development of sugar manufacture and
international sugar markets and Sudanese Sugar Company. The fourth chapter
of the research focussed on the Kinana Sugar Company (KSC) in which it
dealt with production analysis and it is cost, analysis-marketing performance.
Also the research dealt with environment analysis for Kinana Sugar company
and the effect of the manufacturing problems on the company in addition to
analysis of marketing opportunities in the intemational marketing.
The research has come to a number of results, which stated the reason
of the increase of production cost and the effects of government policies on
the company sales beside to other results. Also the research comes to number
of recommendations which stated the importance of diversification of
production and the govemment role in manufacture progress and product
quality, to meet customer needs of regardless of their cultural and tradition
differences. The research also focused on the importance of building
comparative strengths for Kinana sugar co. And developing it in order to
succeed and exist in the market after the total flee trade of sugar market in he
world, so the company has many comparative advantages which it can make
use of in that.
