Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to study, analyze and evaluate the performance of the Third generation UMTS based on Direct Sequence Wide Code Division Multiple Access (DS-WCDMA) for one and multiple users, system in mobile communications. The parameters which were considered for the evaluation performance were additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), multi path propagation fading channel, type of modulation and the code length. The evaluation of DS-WCDMA UMTS network was derived for binary phase shift keying modulation (BPSK) using MATLAB simulation program. The results were obtained in terms of bit error rate (BER) versus signal to noise ratio in graphical form.

الهدف من هذه الرسالة هو دراسة وتحليل وتقييم أداء نظام الدخول المتعدد للشفرة واسعة النطاق عن طريق تسلسل الطيف المباشر لمستخدم واحد ولمجموعة مستخدمين في أنظمة الهواتف النقالة للجيل الثالث . ولقد تم أخذ عدة عوامل لتقييم الأداء مثل ضجيج جاوس الأبيض وتخميد المسارات المتعددة ونوع التعديل وطول الشفرة.
وتم تقييم الأداء عن طريق استخدام تقنية إزاحة الطور الثنائية للتعديل ، وذلك عن طريق النمذجة والمحاكاة بإستخدام برنامج الماتلاب. ثم تم الحصول على النتائج في شكل جداول ورسومات بالنسبة لمعدل الخطأ للبت ضد قدرة الاشارة للضجيج.
